Get Lost, Shores

The crabs are bigger than this spider.
Honestly, I think the Lost Shores should have stayed lost for a while yet. The events of the last three days would have been amazing, interesting investigation on the first day, exploration and building outposts on the second, and the finale on the third. Except.. well. Let's see how it was for me:
Day 1: As I started playing a bit later then the starting event, when I arrived, the attack against LA was already over, but the investigation quests were still ongoing. Found the people, went down to the shore, found some stuff, went back, and they sent me away. Somewhere. I just didn't remember where exactly. No biggie though, because I was able to talk to the jinn in the Mystic Forge, and he sent me away to three faraway locations to find out more about the threat. At this point what most people did was the simple matter of locating a close enough waypoint, and go on from there. Basically, I did the same, except that in my case that waypoint was two areas away, as I have never visited neither of the three places.
Yet, there was a beneficial effect coming from this: While I was travelling south, I've came across an event, where you had to attack an NPC to find out what s/he knows. I was doubly lucky, because there were a lot of players around, and the numbers were sufficient to guarantee victory. There was only one small problem: There was no way to attack the NPC, and the single chat option s/he had didn't offer any help.
Yes, another one of those bugged events.

After looking around and trying to find a solution for about 5 minutes, I left, and went towards the closest of the abovementioned places. By the time I got there, it was already too late for me, so I logged out and went to sleep.

On Saturday, I've spent some time with looking around at one of those places, when I finally realized that the investigation part is already over, and I should go to this new area. Thanks to Arenanet, I was able to participate with my lvl 65 necromancer, who is, btw, my most advanced character. Went there, wondered around a bit, killed some crabs, and then there was a server restart. I was quite bored at this point of time, so I seriously considered not to log back in, but then curiosity won, and I did relog. Which was a very good decision indeed..
After relogging, there was a biggish event to clean up the area between the two landing points. I joined in, killed some crabs in the safety of the crowd, and then the real fun started: An event, where we had to follow Investigator Whathisname and his workers, who were building outposts and waypoints. It was really amazing, I've never seen anything in any MMO before that was so epic.. until after the second outpost, when
A bunch of crabs, including a veteran one, attacked the whole party. The veteran crab had a special attack when he charged in the crowd and killed everyone in a medium range at once. After killing this first batch of crabs, and reviving everyone, including the investigator, we faced the second wave of crabs. Then, the third. The fourth. The fifth. The sixth.
Yes, another one of those bugged events.

Needless to say, the event just stopped at this point. I wondered around and finished a heart, and logged out again, feeling that this evening was pretty unsuccessful again.

Yesterday, I simply played Salem, and good for me too, because my friend was playing GW2, and was so annoyed this morning that he now considers returning to Vanguard. The main reason for that is that after fighting the boss for a long time he died, couldn't teleport to a waypoint because the game would froze at the load screen, restarted the client, couldn't log in for another long time, and when he was finally back, the fight was over, and he got no reward whatsoever.. no xp, no karma, no chest. And dying at the first place was because the game was so laggy that he couldn't react to anything in time.

I am not so frustrated yet that I'd go back to Vanguard. I'll keep playing gw2. But I will not attend live events any more.. wasting my play time on bugs is not something I want to do.
