So far I skipped only Deus Ex (the first one) bc. I've played enough with that, and it is an old game. Now, as we go down on the list, I am planning to skip a few more, mainly because I know them very well already. Still, I'll mention them, and should anyone have any question about these, feel free to ask.
So, skipping today: Majesty 2, Portal 2.
Psychonauts
The first word that comes to the mind (pun intended) about this game is "weird". The characters look strange, or downright distorted, the environment is a mix of stange and beautiful, and the story is nightmarish, but catchy.
A short description: There is a camp in the woods for children. But this is not an ordinary camp: the children are freaks, strange little kids with psychic powers who are there to be taught to become "secret agents" working in other peoples mind. In one word, psychonauts. There is an "extra" kid, coming to the camp without consent from the parents or any invitation, called Raz. You guessed it, that's you. Your training starts on the very next day.
There are basically two types of gameplay: One is the open, exploration mode thing in the "normal" environment, and - judging from the first test - a much faster paced and linear, arcade/platformer kind of gameplay in other people's minds.
Altogether, the game is very well designed. It has some weird humour added to the stories, and it catches the attention very soon, and will keep you occupied for hours. That is actually the reason why I only played this one yesterday - I was having so much fun that I totally lost track of time.
No question about it, I'll play with this one again.
